Problem
Warehouse workers spend 8+ hours on their feet, operating handheld devices with one hand while the other holds products, scans barcodes, or steadies carts. Yet most warehouse management systems are designed like desktop ERP software crammed onto a small screen. The result: high error rates, excessive training time, and workers who fight their tools instead of flowing through tasks. We set out to change this with a ground-up rethink of how warehouse software should feel in the hand.
Solution
We designed warehouse ops from scratch with three guiding principles: scan-first workflows, one-handed interaction, and zero-training onboarding. Every decision was validated on the warehouse floor.

After a 6-week pilot across 2 warehouses with 40 active users, the results exceeded our initial targets across every KPI.

Learnings
The best interface is no interface
Workers don't want to 'use an app', they want to pick, pack, and ship. Every screen we removed, every tap we eliminated, showed up directly in task completion speed.
Consistency is a superpower
By establishing shared interaction patterns across all 7 modules, same swipe gestures, same bottom-sheet confirmations, same celebration screens, users who mastered one module could immediately operate any other.
Design for the worst moment
We spent disproportionate time on error states, undo flows, and issue reporting. These 'edge cases' turned out to be daily occurrences. Making errors recoverable in 2 seconds instead of 10 minutes transformed the emotional experience of the work.
